Christmas Meet at the Link

Event: Tigersharks Christmas Level 3 Open Meet Venue: Link Centre Date: 4th and 5th December 2010

Eighteen Dolphin swimmers were at the Link last weekend at the Tigersharks Christmas Level 3 Open Meet.

A busy programme tested swimmers to the full in being able to hold their focus throughout the long sessions. Despite this, many produced some good personal best performances, creeping ever closer towards either their county or regional qualifying targets.

In the medal positions, Gina Popal had a fruitful weekend with gold in both the 100m and 200m breaststroke whilst Emily Dixon finished with a speeding ticket in her favoured 100m butterfly and bronze in the 200m freestyle. Bradley McCabe worked hard to earn himself a speeding ticket in the 200m backstroke and silvers in the 100m backstroke and 200m freestyle.

Other medallists were Rebecca Saunders (one silver, two bronze), Zoe Pattenden (one silver, one bronze), Andrew Butler (one silver, one bronze), Ben Clark (two bronze) and Ellie Bilko (one bronze).
