National line-up 2022


Following a successful season in both individual and team events, Dolphin have excelled their national qualifier numbers with ten swimmers earning the right to compete in this summer’s series of national championships. Megan Watts is the only swimmer to have qualified for the British Summer Championships, taking part at Ponds Forge in Sheffield. She will join a team of seven swimmers the following week (Fred Carter, Lucas Carter, Farrleigh Greaves, Eva Higginbotham, Sophie King, Sophie Leonard and Ella Williams) at the Swim England National Summer Meet which takes place from Friday 5th August to Tuesday 9th August, also held at Ponds Forge. Neve Porton qualified and was able to compete in two freestyle events at this meet, but will not compete. Ffion Mathias will be competing at the equivalent Welsh National Meet held in Swansea from Wednesday 3rd August to Sunday 7th August.


British Summer Championships - Thursday 28th July 2022


Megan Watts (14) will be taking to the pool at the British Summer Championships 2022, held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield. Watts will make her national debut in the 100m Butterfly event on Thursday 28th July 2022. Swim Wales Summer Open Meet - Wednesday 3rd August to Sunday 7th August 2022


Ffion Mathias (15) is competing in the Welsh waters in the 400m Freestyle (4th August), 800m Freestyle (7th August), 1500m Freestyle (3rd August) and 400m Individual Medley (5th August), despite qualifying in nine events in total. Ffion will be hoping for much success as she brings experience to the national stage. We wish her all the best. Swim England National Summer Meet - Friday 5th August to Tuesday 9th August 2022


A team of eight Swindon Dolphin swimmers will be making their way up north to Ponds Forge to compete in the Swim England National Summer Meet 2022 taking part in 22 events, across a range of strokes and disciplines, showing the versatility of our swimmers. For most, this will be the first experience of a National meet, but they are certainly looking to make their mark! Ella Williams will be the only swimmer who has previously competed at the event as part of the multi-classification events.   • Eva Higginbotham (13) 200m Individual Medley
